1955 Victress... it sounded familiar, so I looked it up. and this was 2nd at the 1958 Pikes Peak behind Ak Miller in the Hot Rod Magazine Special in the sports car class

Built from a hodge podge of good parts, the Victress was a fiberglass body mounted on a Mercury chassis, powered by a Ford 312, with a four speed Jaguar trans and a early Ford truck rear end

Runner-up only because the shift knob popped off and Max Day, the driver, had to endure incredible pain when shifting through the gears, the metal lever cutting deep into his bleeding hand.

The fact that he still managed to reach Pikes Peak in second place, just 1.6 seconds behind Ak Miller in his Hot Rod Magazine Special gives ample testimony to the potency of this superior Victress.

Aaron Sabbah, 42, of Sydney, Australia, a muscular former personal trainer, had a $170,000 Mercedes-Benz at the mechanics, which he'd previously stolen back after it was repossessed, and it was seized by police while it was being driven by the mechanic.

Judge John North said there was little doubt the mechanic, who had already handed over $4,500 in an attempt to placate Sabbah, thought he was going to be assaulted after getting threats via phone, texts, the instant messaging, and in person, when Sabbah entered the mechanic's workshop with a 16" black dildo in the company of two "stocky" men.

 "On the security tape .. the offender can be seen to be carrying a large black dildo in his right hand, which he is swinging as he walks in," Judge John North said during his sentencing at Downing Centre District Court. 

The court heard Sabbah had a misguided belief the mechanic owed him money. He previously told court he'd asked the mechanic not to use the car.

The court heard Sabbah had a criminal history dating back to 1991 and had previously spent time in jail.

22 year old Francisco Velasquez stole the new Porsche 918 Spyder out of the dealership showroom, just like in Gone In 60 Seconds, except in late afternoon, from a Salt Lake dealership

Police say Velasquez broke the front glass of the dealership, stealing the key for the sports car and then driving off the property. Police pulled over the suspect near 300 S. State St. about six hours later and arrested him for theft, burglary and theft by receiving stolen property.

It sells for about a million, does the 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, and was recovered without a scratch
